My name is Joseph F. Delahoussaye, but most just call me “Joe”. I was born and raised in southeast Texas. As a young man I began hunting and fishing – in later life I got around the “Golden Triangle” area and enjoy both hunting and fishing sports their and around much of these great United States.
I served in the US Air Force and have worked in the Criminal Justice field at the Federal, State, and County levels for over 30 years.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education, BS in Criminal Justice and Associate degree. I also teach numerous Law Enforcement classes.
My volunteer experience has been both extensive as well as varied but my relationship with Texas Parks & Wildlife Department as a Area Chief for boater education along with my service as a Hunter Education Instructor have been some of the most rewarding experiences to date.
For the past 8 years I have lead an outreach hunting and fishing program called Badges, Bucks and Bass sponsored by Travis Co. Sheriff Department which focuses on taking the youth outdoors and getting them fishing and hunting.
My vision for THEIA is financial responsibility, transparency and open communication. I plan to continue to work toward growing both Hunter Education with the Department as well as THEIA as an organization so that we might be the premier program for the US as well as internationally.
