The Certified Hunter Education Instructor is the heart of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Hunter Education program and the reason for the existence of THEIA.
When talking about instructors two concepts come to mind with many in the industry…
As with any organization we lose Instructors over time for a variety of reasons. Losing instructors is tough on everyone and is a constant focus of THEIA to recruit, retain and reactivate Instructors to ensure the future of the Hunter Education program.
In addition to losing instructors advances in education have proven that “Team teaching” always results in better courses for both the Instructors and students alike and as such we want to bring more instructors into teaching so we can replace those instructors we lose in hopes we can build diverse training teams to help teach the youth coming up in the future.
